Listed at 6'2" 210lbs. Is the twin brother of New Orleans Saint's Safety Josh Bullocks. Leader of the Cornhuskers secondary. Great size and well defined. Shows good agility and has fluid hips. Good short area quickness but, doesn't have great top end speed or I just didn't get a chance to see it. Nose for the ball and always seems to be in on the tackle. Sure, wrapup tackler. Comes up and plays the run well and is physical at the line of scrimmage. Blitzes well and can shed blocks to get into the backfield. May try to make plays too much at times and will gamble a bit. Does a nice job in coverage however, as mentioned he likes to play in the box from what I see. Does a nice job on special teams for the Huskers. Underrated prospect that could end up moving up draft boards.
Tommy's Notes on Daniel Bullocks
Very good prospect. Wrap-up tackler. Comes up quickly vs the run or short pass. Plays the ball well. Can turn and run with rcvrs. Excellent at man coverage. Can blitz off the edge, but is not a dynamic hitter. Good STer. Has good size and ran a 4.38 at the Combine...a really fast time for a Safety his size. Could play SS or FS. Only question is how good he is in deep coverage when he has to make plays all over the field.
Solid 2nd Rd player. Strong showing at the Senior Bowl really helped him. Could sneak into the end of Round 1.
